Refund policy
RETURNS & REFUND POLICY
DANIEL CHUCK primarily operates on a made-to-order basis. Orders are classified as either STANDARD MTO or CUSTOM SPEC depending on the specifications requested.
1. STANDARD MTO — STANDARD MADE-TO-ORDER
STANDARD MTO refers to products produced after an order is confirmed within DANIEL CHUCK's predefined design, material, length, and standard size specifications.
Customers may request a return or exchange within 7 days of receiving a STANDARD MTO product, subject to applicable law.
For returns or exchanges due to a change of mind, incorrect size selection, or other reasons attributable to the customer, the customer is responsible for the applicable return and re-delivery shipping costs.
Returns or exchanges may be restricted, to the extent permitted by applicable law, where:
- the product has been lost or damaged due to circumstances attributable to the customer;
- the product has been used and its value has materially decreased due to wear, scratches, deformation, or other signs of use;
- the value of the product has materially decreased over time to the extent that resale has become difficult; or
- another statutory restriction on withdrawal applies.
Opening the packaging solely for the purpose of inspecting the product does not, by itself, constitute grounds for refusing a return.
2. CUSTOM SPEC — CUSTOM MADE-TO-ORDER
CUSTOM SPEC refers to an order individually produced according to specifications requested by a particular customer, including but not limited to:
- sizes outside DANIEL CHUCK's standard size range;
- custom lengths;
- engraving;
- structural modifications;
- material changes; or
- other non-standard specifications requested by the customer.
Where an order qualifies as CUSTOM SPEC, DANIEL CHUCK will separately notify the customer before purchase that the order is individually produced and that the right of withdrawal may be restricted. The customer's agreement will be obtained before the order is placed.
Where a CUSTOM SPEC order is individually produced according to the customer's request, allowing withdrawal would be expected to cause substantial and irrecoverable loss to DANIEL CHUCK, and the requirements of applicable law have otherwise been satisfied, cancellation, exchange, return, or refund for the following reasons may be restricted after production has commenced:
- change of mind;
- incorrect size or option selected by the customer;
- cancellation for reasons attributable to the customer; or
- a request to alter specifications previously approved by the customer.
If a CUSTOM SPEC order needs to be changed or cancelled before production begins, please contact DANIEL CHUCK as soon as possible.
A product is not classified as CUSTOM SPEC solely because it is produced after an order is placed.
3. SIZE SELECTION
For rings and other products requiring size selection, customers should review the sizing information provided on the relevant product page before ordering.
Products ordered within DANIEL CHUCK's published standard size range are treated as STANDARD MTO unless otherwise expressly stated before purchase.
A size or specification outside the published standard range may be classified as CUSTOM SPEC. Where this applies, the customer will be informed before placing the order.
4. DEFECTIVE, INCORRECT, OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS
If a product is defective, an incorrect product is delivered, or the product is produced differently from the specifications confirmed in the order, DANIEL CHUCK will review the issue and provide an appropriate exchange or refund regardless of whether the order is STANDARD MTO or CUSTOM SPEC.
Where a product differs from its description, advertising, or the agreed terms of the order, a customer may exercise the rights available under applicable law within 3 months of receiving the product and within 30 days of becoming aware, or reasonably being able to become aware, of the issue.
DANIEL CHUCK will bear the applicable return and re-delivery shipping costs where the return or exchange results from a defect, incorrect shipment, or other cause attributable to DANIEL CHUCK.
We may request the order number and photographs showing the condition of the product in order to review the request.
5. MATERIAL AND FINISH CHARACTERISTICS
Sterling silver may naturally oxidize or change in surface appearance over time depending on exposure to air, humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, and the conditions in which it is worn or stored.
Minor variations in surface, finish, or form may also occur as a result of production and hand-finishing processes.
Natural material characteristics and minor production variations are assessed separately from manufacturing defects.
6. REFUNDS
Once a returned product has been received by DANIEL CHUCK, we will inspect its condition and process the applicable refund.
Where a valid statutory withdrawal applies, the refund will be processed within 3 business days from the date DANIEL CHUCK receives the returned product, in accordance with applicable law.
Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
The time required for the refunded amount to appear may vary depending on the card issuer, bank, or payment service provider.
7. RETURN AND EXCHANGE REQUESTS
Before returning any product, please contact DANIEL CHUCK through the ACCESS page or the customer support channel and provide your order number and the reason for your request.
The applicable return address and shipping instructions will be provided after your request has been received.
Matters not expressly addressed in this policy will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and consumer dispute resolution standards.
For international orders, any mandatory consumer protection law applicable in the customer's jurisdiction will prevail where it grants rights that cannot lawfully be excluded by this policy.
